The Gospel. Many people know what it means, but suprisingly many don't know exactly what the Bible says it is. According to Paul, the gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That's good news indeed! We know through that gospel that he made a way for every person to be born again and make Heaven their home. Along the way though between salvation and redemption, there's going to be some bumps in the road. There's going to be temptations, attacks, failures and trials. If you have attend church faithfully and you have a Pastor that's not afraid to preach Biblical truths then we have some good news! Through the gospel, through your walk with God and through your Pastor, God has put some guardrails in your life! Guardrails serve a specific purpose............they keep you from going over the edge! We should thank God for the guardrails he's put into our lives through our church, through our Pastors, through our personal study and even through our parents, grandparents and friends! Because while you may suffer some scratched and dents by hitting the guardrail, you'll look back after the mishaps and realize.......... "It was the guardrails that saved my life!" Circumstances beyond our control. Situations that we can't comprehend. Questions that never receive answers and we're left with even more questions! Have you been there? We have! The sin problem in the world is the great separater between man and God. Sin is no less dangerous today than it was in the beginning. In 2021, sin is more prevalent than maybe ever before, but that does not excuse the mission of the church. Even as a young man, Jesus declared to his parents that he must be about his Father's business. The purpose of the church is to be about our Father's business. We have been given the word and ministry of reconciliation, to bring a lost and dying world back to God. While it's easy in our current world to get wrapped up in so many distractions, the church must refocus, re-dedicate and re-consecrate itself with the eternal purpose of God, to reconcile the world back to himself. The first time Abram built and altar and called on the name of the Lord, it was in a place called Bethel. God called Jacob back to Bethel, what is the significance of that place? Bethel was the place where it began, a place where the altar was first built, wher the name of the Lord was first called upon, it was a place of beginnings! Do you remember your Bethel? There is little doubt that we are living in the end times right now. Bible prophecy is happening at an ever increasing rate right before our eyes. The Bible is clear, that the times right before the second come of Jesus would be very dark and very intense. Jesus himself describes this time and these signs in both Luke 21 and Matthew 24.
