This week on CHH, the girls are joined by their good friend Kelly Needham. Kelly shares what life looked like on the road with her husband while also pursuing her calling as a writer. She unpacks one of her biggest insights when it comes to studying the Bible: it takes time, and it’s deeply relational. Scripture isn’t complicated or exclusive; it’s for everyone. It’s simple enough for a child to understand, yet rich enough to transform your life. Kelly encourages listeners to approach reading with intention, even suggesting writing down 10 things you learn about God as you go. When it comes to prayer, she keeps it honest and freeing. Prayer is simply talking to God. Even when it doesn’t feel valuable, it is, because He is. As Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” He alone paid the price, something no one else could ever do. Salvation isn’t something we earn. It’s a gift. Scripture tells us that whoever hears and believes that Jesus is the Son of God, sent by the Father, has eternal life.
