ABOUT THIS SERMON

Sermon title: the Leaven of Man
Speaker: Pastor John Lovell
Scripture: Mark 8:14-21
Main topic: God's Word is powerful enough to topple mighty nations, yet Jesus uses simple stories of everyday items to demonstrate spiritual significance to His followers.  Jesus warned the disciples about the dangers of spiritual sickness and questioned why they wasted time discussing bread. Listen this week as Pastor John teaches the biblical meaning of the leaven story and warns believers of the dangerous ingredients used by the religious elite to multiply their self-righteousness and self-indulgence.  Spiritual discernment must be exercised to keep you and your families sheltered from the legalistic crowd who demands that their opinion become a commandment. Live your life like Jesus, while striving daily for the leaven of heaven.
