Seeds & Sowers: When All You can do is Wait (Mark 4.26-29)

The 21st century has not equipped humanity for the art of waiting. We have our groceries delivered, our food ready before we get to restaurants, our newspaper delivered to our pocket and our children magically transformed into perfect little humans immediately after attending public schools (insert eye-roll here). We just aren't equipped for the long, slow process of letting something grow under the surface. In the parable of the sower, Jesus points out the fact that the sower doesn't need to know the exact science of how the seed is growing. The farmer doesn't need to pull out his x-ray goggles to check on the seed's growth. He/she just needs to wait. 

So, that begs the question, what does it look like to wait for a gospel seed to grow?
