Pave the Way: Doubts (Mark 1:1-8 Luke 7:18-23)

If you start digging into scriptures, you'll quickly discover that there are some difficult topics, contradictions and ideas that are hard to believe. Then, you live a little life and circumstances hit you that just don't seem to align with the idea of a "loving God." Many of us (if not all of us), experience significant moments of doubt. Some of those moments can even lead to a crisis of faith. 

This week, Pastor Brian guided Lakepoint to John the Baptist's moment of doubt. The guy to who pointed to Jesus and shouted, "look, it's the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." The guy who had the distinct privilege of baptizing Jesus himself, had a crisis, a major moment, a doubt. As we look at scripture, we can understand more about our own doubts, and how our doubts can lead us toward Christ rather than away from him.
