Jesus was never satisfied with simply drawing a crowd — He was always looking for disciples willing to be sent. Through the unlikely lineup of the twelve apostles, including tax collectors, zealots, doubters, and even a betrayer, we see that Jesus doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called, choosing ordinary and flawed people on purpose.
