True Assurance of Eternal Life

Many people claim to love God even though their lives demonstrate a love for the world. However, as 1 John 2:3–17 reminds us, these two loves cannot coexist. None of us will reach sinless perfection in this life, but a love for God will be evident in our desires and in our obedience.
