My guest for The Happy Hour #331 is Mandisa! For the few people who may be unfamiliar with her, Mandisa is a gospel and contemporary Christian recording artist. She came to the spotlight on the fifth season of American Idol, and was given an incredible opportunity to share publicly about her faith. In this episode, Mandisa talks about learning how to lovingly disagree with one another and washing the feet of our enemies. Mandisa also gets vulnerable about her journey to pursuing mental and physical health by healing from depression and working through childhood wounds. She shares about times where she was trapped in a deep, emotional pit, and how she has learned to find her comfort in Christ rather than temporary things. I love when she says “I used to say that God doesn’t call us to comfort, but now I actually believe He does. He calls us to His comfort.
